Leadership
One person conducts every review.
Driftwood is deliberately a practice of one, with a permanent bench around it. That is a design decision, not a stage of growth: coordination fails when it is delegated, so the person who reads the seven systems is the person you meet.
Alec Messino
Founder & Financial Advisor
Alec Messino founded Driftwood Wealth to build a practice centered on coordination rather than product selection. He is a Registered Representative and Financial Advisor of Park Avenue Securities LLC.
He conducts every Coordination Review personally, reading the seven systems against each other rather than assigning them out. The practice leads with Illinois because that is where the arithmetic bites hardest: an estate is exempt only to $4M, well below the federal threshold, so households that feel comfortably under the limit are frequently not.
Previously he served in Strategic Client Engagement at Dimensional Fund Advisors, supporting many of the firm’s largest RIA relationships. Earlier experience advising households and implementing comprehensive wealth plans led to Driftwood’s focus on coordination across investments, taxes, estate planning, and ownership structures.
“I didn’t want to be one more specialist at the table. I wanted to be the one accountable for how the whole table fits together.”
